Your oral health is the foundation for everything we do. At Esthetic Dentistry Dental Group, we make your dental health and periodontal health our top priority.

During your initial exam, we start with screening for oral cancer. We check your head and neck for any suspicious lesions or lumps. We also look for any abnormalities on your x-rays and any areas of concern around your soft tissues. We then continue with the dental exam.

The dental exam starts with a visual inspection of your teeth and a full set of x-rays. We also take intra-oral images so that we can point out potential problems, like a fractured tooth (see photo on the right). Then, we will assess your gum health. We begin with periodontal probing, which checks the status of your gums around each tooth. We check for gum recession, bleeding, and observe any plaque and tartar buildup. With these tools, we are able to give you a comprehensive assessment of your dental and periodontal health.
